The Atlantic Rain Forest has already covered much of the Brazilian territory, but there is currently 8% of the original remaining. And the largest continuo and preserved areas are among the coastlines of Paraná, São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro states.

     Let’s start by getting to know the highlands of the Atlantic Rainforest and its caves. Then we continue to Curitiba, capital of the state of Paraná, from where we will take a train that descends through the Sea Range to Morretes city, already on the coast of Paraná state.

     From there we follow the coast knowing the parks, the cities, the culture and the history with more than 500 years of the coast from Paranaguá city to Ilha Grande.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL GRU.

06:00 am – Arrival in Guarulhos Airport/BRAZIL and bring to airport hotel.

11:30 am – Leaving the airport hotel.

12:00 pm – Welcome Lunch.

01:00 pm – Departure for Iporanga/SP.

06:00 pm – Expected arrival in Iporanga.

  

DAY 2: IPORANGA/SP

08:00 am – Breakfast.

09:30 am - Let’s visit the caves in the PETAR - Ribeira River Highlands Touristic State Park (petaronline.com.br).

  

DAY 3: IPORANGA/CURITIBA

08:00 am – Breakfast.

09:00 am – Departure to Curitiba.

01:00 pm – Expected arrival in Curitiba, check-in in the hotel.

02:30 pm – City tour in Curitiba.

07:00 pm – Dinner in the traditional Italian neighborhood of “Santa Felicidade”.

  

DAY 4: MORRETES/PARANAGUÁ

07:00 am – Breakfast and leaving the Hotel.

08:15 am – Start of the train trip. It is 50 miles until Morretes city through the Sea Range and the 3.000 feet decedents.

12:15 pm – Arrival in Morretes.

01:00 pm – Lunch. Suggestion: the local typical food, a kind of cookie meat called “Barreado” because it is cooked in clay pots.

02:30 pm – Departure to Paranaguá

  

DAY 5: PARANAGUÁ/MEL'S ISLAND

08:00 am – Breakfast.

09:00 am – Departure to Mel's Island.

11:00 am – Expected arrival in Mel's Island and check-in in the Inn.

  

DAY 6: MEL'S ISLAND

08:00 am – Breakfast.

09:30 am - Let’s spend the day getting to know the beaches and visiting the Our Lady of Pleasures Fortress (1770) in the island .

  

DAY 7: MEL'S ISLAND/SUPERAGUI  and CARDOSO ISLAND.

09:00 – Breakfast.

14:30 – Departure to the Cardoso Island.

17:00 – Expected arrival in the “Caiçara Village” do Marujá in the Cardoso Island State Park and check-in in the lodging.

  

DAY 8: CARDOSO ISLAND

06:00 am – Breakfast.

07:00 am - Let’s spend the day getting to know the Cardoso Island State Park. Let’s walk (8,0 miles) to the natural pool in the deserted beach of Lage.

DAY 9: CARDOSO ISLAND/CANANÉIA

08:00 am – Breakfast.

09:00 am - Let’s visit another waterfall and visit one ghost town.

12:00 am - Departure to Cananéia city. 

01:00 am - Expected arrival aand lunch.

02:00 pm - Walking tour in the downtown.

04:00 pm - Check-in in the hotel.

07:00 pm - Dinner.

 

DAY 10: CANANÉIA/SANTOS.

08:00 am – Breakfast.

09:00 am – Check-out do hotel and departure to the city of Santos/SP passing through Peruíbe, Itanhaém, Mongaguá and Praia Grande cities.

03:00 pm – Expected arrival in Santos e check-in in Atlantic Inn Hotel.

09:00 am – Start the city tour in Santos city.

09:00 am – Let’s spend the day to get to know Ilhabela. The Land and Sea trip to the beach of Castelhanos.

08:00 am - Departure to Paraty, passing through Caraguatatuba and Ubatuba cities.

01:00 pm – Lunch in the Quilombo do Campinho.

02:00 pm – Arrival in Paraty and city tour.

DAY 16: PARATY.

09:00 am – Let’s spend the day to get to know Paraty. Today, the boat trip to Mamangua Fjord and the deserted beaches in the Paraty bay.

DAY 17: PARATY / ILHA GRANDE.

09:00 am – Departure to Ilha Grande.

12:00 am – Boat trip to Ilha Grande.
